Dear luatex maintainers,
down here in the Debian Bug Tracking system we got a report telling
that luatex is not able to build its own format file on power pc. The
version specified is 0.11.0, which is in reality the 20070820
snapshot (as far as I can see). Please note that the Debian packet
links dynamically with the following libs in Debian instead of using
the provided libraries: zlib, libpng, libjpg.
Thank you for the bug forward. This bug has also been reported by
someone else, and it was a simple portability error. The exact problem
is that the varmem_sizes array (in luanode.c) depended on chars being
signed by default.
There already is a in the luatex repository now. No new release has
been made yet, but that will happen somewhere in the next week, so
version 0.11.1 will fix the bug.
