I did a little bit of looking and, this same ICE in
to "convert_memory_address, at explow.c:317" happens exactly the same on
amd64 and ia64, so I wonder if it's a 64-bit issue.
("explow.c" is a file in the gcc distribution, so this could also be a gcc
bug), but it ICEs during a "ghdl -a", so I'm not sure).
Anyway, I just thought you may want to look at this.
The original Debian bug is at
Build logs for ia64 and amd64.
