Bug#359911: dblatex: Entity in informaltable leads to invalid LaTeX file
Wed, 29 Mar 2006 22:20:48 +0200 CEST
here comes the first dblatex bug reported by the Debian Bug Tracking
System ("BTS"). As new people start using dblatex, more bugs are found
:-) You may find all details (including a simple problem demo document)
The problem is that the entity — does not work in tables, that is in
<entry> elements. The resulting LaTeX code is broken and won't compile.
I have been able to reproduce the bug, not only for the Debian package,
but also for the original package 0.1.8. Thus I think it is an upstream
Thereby I have noticed a second problem: if the problematic document is
transformed with NewTable support, it will compile, but the result won't
display the intended '-' character, but the numeric entity '—'
which obviously has not been transformed to the correct TeX command.
As this bug has been reported by a Debian user, I would package any
corresponding fix into a new Debian version (probably 0.1.8-2). Thus,
it would be great if you could help.
If you could preserve the Cc: to [email protected] in
your replies, they will be tracked in BTS, too.
Thanks, Andreas Hoenen
