perhaps you remind my, I'm the Debian packager for gnuserv.  I
received some time ago a bug report from a user (well, more a wishlist
item indeed).  I think you might find it useful.

If emacs is not running, the dtemacs script starts it iconified.  But surely
if you ran dtemacs you want to actually use emacs, and would prefer it to
get the focus?
