They were probably not in a great mood because you were the
thousandth customer who called up to quit that day. :)

I run a Linux server at home from a Comcast connection. Only my
connection has been down going on 3 days now. I can't wait any
longer. Does anyone on this list know if I need to have phone
service to get Verizon's $17.99 high speed service? It's less
than half of what I pay Comcast anyway.
I really wonder what the chances are that the problems have to do
with my area and the physical wires, and I'll have the same
problems. But at least with a $17.99 bill, I can just go ahead
and spend an extra $15 per month for separate hosting.
Well I finally had to cancel Comcast. After 2 weeks of no Internet
access I just couldn't keep waiting for them to fix it. The good
was that they were quick and just let me cancel it retroactively to
the beginning of my problems. The bad of it was just the person on
the phone was a bit short and abrasive.
Oh well.
