powell method

Hello all. I hope someone can help me with this. Im not that good at
programming with matlab. I need to minimize a polynomial function
with multiple iterations ultimately getting a convergence of .001. I
need to use the powell successive quadratic estimation method. Anyone
have any code that would help me out? thanks a lot
