Dear Guys,
I am now doing an experiment extract the shape information of an 2D
object in paintings. After the segmentation, the boundary could be
detected and a collection of points could get from the edge of the
object. As we know, many free form object boundaries can be modeled
by quartics with boundary zero set, which is in the form of implicit
polynomials with the degree of 4. Then how to fitting the collection
of the extracted point into this implicit polinomials and get the
value of the coeeficients? There are some methods in the matlab with
could solve the fitting problem, but they could only apply to
polynomials while not implicit polynomials, Could anybody help me
with this question? Thank you very much for your help
