hey ted,
i'm getting this error when trying out your solution:
An error has occurred while loading `/Users/sebastiansulger/.emacs':
error: Invalid font or fontset name, -apple-monaco-medium-r-
normal--14-140-72-72-m-140-mac-roman
i know about the emacs.app. i need the x window system version of
emacs for my research work, though, so the app versions of emacs
(emacs.app, aquamacs) are not an option for me.
thank you for helping me.
