Description: Develop pricing strategy and actual proposal price for
competitive and sole source proposals. Drive proposal issues to closure. Work
closely with functional areas to understand and assess functional resources
needed to meet the proposal requirements. Analyze resources and proposal
requirements to ensure best value, compliant proposals are submitted and that
related risks are communicated during preparation and through the approval
process. Ensure proposals are consistent with FAR and CAS statements where
applicable and the related proposal processes are adhered to. Support customer
fact finding and negotiations. Prior pricing/proposal experience desirable.
General Position Description
Develops, plans and schedules proposals. Compiles cost, schedule, and
technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request
for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation
of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support
proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding
meetings. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and
customer representatives. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating
team.
Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related
discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of
professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related
Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
