Description: The person in this position will assist in supporting chemists
in a media coating laboratory. The essential duties and responsibilities are
to mix and prepare coatings, apply coatings to substrates, analyze coatings and
media samples, observe performance of coatings and give feedback to chemists,
analyze data using statistical methods, promote teamwork within immediate
working group and between different groups utilizing the laboratory,
communicate effectively with management, coworkers and suppliers, and
occasional printing of test samples.
A BS Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred. This position requires 1-3 years of
general laboratory experience (college level coursework with lab will be
considered) and experience with wet chemistry is also desired. Mechanical
skills are needed also. A degree is not required. This position is available
immediately
