no, it isn't a virus syndrome. It took some time to activate my brains, but

I also have sometimes this problem with my secure browser version and if I'm
remembering well it has something to do with javascript. If javascript is
disabled I get a php download, if javascript is allowed I get the file.
My limited browser doesn't allow javascript, flash, activeX, third party
pictures and that's why I have also this trouble.
