MJ laid this down on his screen :
I have an archive folder approx 80MB that appears to be corrupted.
I can't d/l any files from it.
I'm searching for a recovery solution.
The files are mostly nzbs & jpgs & nfos nothing too lage in size
but there are over 1600 of them.
I would Slave your HD to another HD/comp ( no need to bolt it in, just
cable it & leave it outside the case ) & copy your stuff onto the other
HD or other media.
You may have a choice of jumper settings on the master HD, such as
master with slave or ms.
If you want to try a repair & possibly lose some files, you can try
chkdsk.

Chkdsk (Chkdsk.exe) is a command-line tool that checks volumes for
problems. The tool then tries to repair any that it finds. For example,
Chkdsk can repair problems related to bad sectors, lost clusters,
cross-linked files, and directory errors. To use Chkdsk, you must log
on as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
You can also run Chkdsk from My Computer or from Windows Explorer.

CheckDisk is a powerful tool for searching and repairing disk errors.
It is quite similar to the ScanDisk tool or chkdsk.exe, supplied with
the Windows operating systems.
You can select either standard or full tests. The full test
additionally performs a sector check. It is capable of finding bad
sectors on your disk and marking them as such. CheckDisk will work with
HDDs (including SCSI and RAID), removable media and CDs.
