Truecrypt gets the knock of being complex but this is actually only a
matter of getting clear their terminology. The Wizerd asks if you want
to create a volume (think of that as nothing more than a potentially
secret place to put your encrypted files. Next, do you want that volume
to be hidden and where do you want the volume to be (USB, C;\, etc).This
volume is like any other file so you can do with it what you want. Next,
name the file, pick your encryption (use the defaults), how big do you
want your volume to be (for the encrypted files); set your password, the
volume is created, pick a drive letter (M, X, etc it gives you choices),
click Mount to associate the volume with the drive letter, Voila!
Drag/drop files, all the rest is automatic, just use as a normal drive
or folder.
If you want to encrypt an existing partition or entire drive, same
steps.
Truecrypt takes about 30 minutes to get entirely comortable with and you
really don't need anything else.
