I must respectfully disagree. Even if the developer or admin level access is currently restricted to Sun employees, there is no reason to limit ourselves to proprietary tools. Using open tools does give community members the ability to contribute improvements to them and see the direct results of those improvements even if they can't administer those tools themselves (currently). I am certain that with time, the administration situation can change (and must really).
