I’m getting some questions about the Emerging
Technologies course that I referenced in my ‘All Things Digital Video’
email, so maybe this will help clarify it.
The DL - Emerging Technologies course was initially created
as a Tech Integration Workshop and was later developed into an online course.
Although it still has a Tech Integration topic, the course is currently made up
of 6 topics covering subjects like:
-
Using/Buying a Digital Camera
-
Using Sound Recorder that comes with
Windows
-
VoiceThread – I’m not
going to even try to quickly explain this!
-
Creating your own Website EASILY
-
Creating your own Instructional
Videos using free Wink
-
And more……
I am currently working on a ‘Digital Video’
topic which will be based on the new ‘All Things Digital Video’
workshop I will be conducting at Bluehills/Norwood in early March. I hope to
add it to the course in the April timeframe.
DL means Distance Learning, which means that you can take
this course remotely; anytime you’d like and from anywhere you’d
like! Go through the course as fast or as slow as you’d like also. You do
not need to take all of the topics either; just the ones you are interested in.
The course is ‘officially’ two hours, but there is WAY more than
two hours of content in it!
If you’re interested in taking it, go to the southeast
tab on the Sabes Calendar and register; it is right at the top of the list!

( LOL, I hope this raises my poor correct vs. error emails
percentage to the abesoutheast listserv……Oh, BTW, LOL means Laugh Out
Loud. I had a VERY interesting conversation with one of your constituents; he
thought I was sending him Lots of Love notes….. L )
