Check to see if the cpu fan starts spinning quickly (perhaps it is jammed
with a touching wire, etc). Some MBs have a feature that shuts down the PC
immediately during bootup if the cpu fan is not spinning properly.

separate plug-in (male) for 110v and 230v instead of a switch to choose the
proper voltage?
