Hi,

I'm having a long term problem that Flash Player consumes approximately 100%
of the CPU.

I've researched this on Adobe's site and I see a lot of people are having
this problem, but no solutions.

I posted on macromedia.flash, but no responses.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that doesn't help; besides
this also happens on a fresh install of MSDN Windows XP with SP2.

My primary machine where this occurs is MSDN Windows 2000 SP4.

This doesn't seem to be linked to any particular site as it happens on my
sites and YouTube and other sites.

Also, the media clip doesn't have to be playing, just the page being open
with the Flash player control on the page causes the problem, naturally the
more controls on the page the more it interferes with other work.

My current flash version is Flash Player 9.

Any ideas?

This is a bit annoying to not be able to work just because a flash audio
stream is playing.

BTW, I don't have any problems with other media such as in Windows Media
Player or Real Player. Unfortunately, those don't play Flash files.

Gary
