Read vs. unread links in Firefox 3.01

Hi, all.

Under Tools--Options--Security in Firefox 3, I have 'Keep my history for 
at least 1 day' checked.  Yet, I'm seeing links showing as read that I 
haven't clicked in a month.  The move to 3.0.1 didn't change that.  This 
machine is cable modem, Vista Home Premium.  I have another machine 
(satellite high-speed, XP Media Center) on which the links revert back 
to their regular color after 24 hours.

Any thoughts on what I should be checking or not checking to get these 
links back to their normal color?  TIA.
