The people who are happy as clams about multifunction units are
generally especially pleased with the desktop realestate which is saved.

The people who are unhappy about multifunctions are upset when something
breaks which costs more to fix than to replace, so they spend more
replacing a multifunction than they would have a simpler singlefunction
unit.

There is a vast difference around here between buying something because
you need it now and being able to buy something which is on sale.
