Thanks for your advice. I tried to create a clean new profile like you suggested before... I just didn't know you did that through the Control Panel... and didn't see a menu option within Outlook, so I figured if I just moved all the data away it would start a clean new file. Anyhow... I WAS able to create a new profile. I repaired my pst (again) w/ Ontrack Easyrecovery (as after running SCANPST Outlook STILL would not import because it said the PST was still damaged - even though SCANPST reported that the file was okay in the first place...). I imported the data from the old PST into the new PST and all seems to be okay. I also had a set of rules to organize the various routine incoming mail into appropriate folders so that I didn't have to sort my Inbox all the time, when a rule could accomplish it just fine. Is there any way for me to grab my rules from my old set-up too? Then I can just run them instead of recreating all of them. I probably wont' remember them all anyway, as they work so well I've been taking them for granted for a while now. Thanks (again) |
