One of our 2006 holiday gifts from a "Secret Santa" office exchange
tradition is not very easy to clean at all. In fact, it is most difficult.
The `George Forman Grill` manufacturer's material included with the
appliance state "simply wipes clean!" It should be noted that it cooks
well, but the residues hard-bake onto the "non-stick" surfaces, presenting
quite a problem to clean away without damaging those non-stick grill
surfaces. Of course, you cannot soak it because of the electrical parts.
Has anyone got any suggestions that may have worked well for them, and
be willing to share those tips? We can't really ask at the office for fear
of possibly offending the anonymous giver. Having no prior experience using
one of these appliances, it seems like a very thoughtful gift, given the
lower financial range allowed for the "Secret Santa" program. Except for
the cleaning part, it has a most enjoyable potential. Any helpful
suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you, and happy New Year.
