This one is excellent, and in some ways it is better than the office program you are trying to use. It does everything Office does, and more. It can also export and import over 90% of the formats that Office can handle. No, I'd say it will import MORE than MS Office will do. MS Office won't import any Lotus documents AT ALL......which is strange considering MS Office was launched as a DIRECT assault on Lotus Smartsuite......No it wasn't. Lotus Smartsuite came out two years after the first version of Office. (MS Office 1989, Lotus Smartsuite V1 1991)OK then it was launched in direct assault on 123 and Amipro. Yeah, MS didn't have it's own way back then. Word was up against Ami Pro, Wordperfect, and a few other minor players. Excel was battling Lotus 123 and Quattro Pro, and dBase ruled the database world. There were a few good office programs out there too. Ability Plus, was pretty good as was Clarisworks. If Clarisworks had a decent relational database it would have killed everything else I believe. It was blisteringly fast and was truly an integrated product, rather than the separate products loosely bundled together like most of the other "Office" suites. -- Cheers Oldus Fartus |
