I bought this computer from a kid across the way. Well, since he had completely bollixed up XP, I had to use the system recovery option to reinstall XP and get it working again. When I go to MS Office, it wants the Product Key. Office was installed on the thing from the factory - I thought using the system recovery kept all registered programs in working order? Of course, I don't have it, and have no way of getting it. Is it possibly still stored in the registry? If so, how would I find it? BTW, it's a Compaq. |
