Win XP, SP2
Up till today, my HP 3300C Scanjet scanner was working fine. Now it's
stopped and won't scan. Uninstalled and reinstalled hard and software but
still nothing happens.
When I run the scanner program , the splash screen starts, then zilch.
Under My Computer/Device Manager/properties, it's shown as 'enabled' and
'working properly'. Under Control Panel/Scanners and Cameras/ it is listed
and, under Properties/General, it is shown as 'Device Ready', and when the
'Test Scanner or Camera' button is pressed it reports 'the device
successfully completed the diagnostic test'
The last time you did a reboot?
If that doesn't help, use msconfig.exe to disable the startup items, reboot,
and check again. If it works now, you have a program loaded on Windows
startup and running that conflicts with your hardware support (i.e.,
drivers, background software) or with the scanner software.
